Operation Description
The BIOCON
system works on a batch system basis. The whole cycle lasts about
11 minutes, no more. The operation principle is as follows :
The macerator grinds and reduces continuously all
suspended solids to particles of 0.5mm
and less. In this way their surface area is enlarged to an
optimum size and is susceptible
for oxidation. Now on this optimally enlarged surface area
follows the physical chemical
reactions : Air is entered in the system through the
specially shaped suction of the
recirculation pump from the enviroment and is mixed with the
sewage recirculating stream.
The oxygen and the added chlorine meet in the suction line of
the mixing recirculation
pump and are working in an aggressive reaction under strong
turbulence on the organic
matter making a quick reaction possible. Through the oxygen
and the Chlorine that are
present all over the treatment tank, organic particles are
oxidized and bacteria are
destroyed. This oxidation takes place for 4 minutes. In these
4 minutes and even further
during the 5 min partial discharge phase the recirculation
pump takes all the settled solids
from the second chamber and brinks them back in the first
chamber for further processing
so that most solids shall be processed regarding size,
oxidation, and desinfection.
After the end of a cycle the system starts a new cycle unless
sewage level inside the
holding tank is lower than the lower level switch. Therefore
the system works on demand
only and draws power only when treatment is necessary. BIOCON
BREAKER THE BEST IN THE INDUSTRY
THE HEART OF THE BIOCON SYSTEM
While sewage
is entering the macerator first finds the rotary knife that cuts larger
pieces in
smaller ones and all of them proceed to the macerator -
breaker rotating disk that
comminutes all solids to the circumference between the disk
and the housing. The tolerance
there is less than 0,5mm. The whole fluid quantity with any
solids that escape from the
conical holes of the rotating disk meets underneath the
constant impeller where everything is
squeezed to pass due to the high rotation speed and further
minimizing is achieved. On
every rotation the surface of the macerator disk acts as a
blade on the cutter impeller lines.
The whole homogeneous mixture continues its travel through
the center hole of the cutter
impeller to the pump impeller from where is ejected inside
the first chamber of the treatment
tank for further reprocessing with an adequate pressure that
creates turbulent flow.
